Description:
Are you anxious to get started on your 2014 gardening? The Raab Park
Community Garden (The P-Patch) is a partnership between the WSU Extension
Kitsap Master Gardener Program and the Poulsbo Parks and Recreation Department.
The P-Patch has 42 sunny garden plots in two sizes: 10’
x 20’ & 10’ x 10’. Gardeners must use organic gardening
practices, products and materials. Information and resources on organic
gardening are provided, as well as many hand tools and gardening implements.
Produce may not be sold but may be shared or donated to a food bank.
Participants are responsible for signing a “Gardener’s Agreement” and providing
their own seeds, plants, organic fertilizers and/or compost. They are also
required to contribute six (6) hours of community work in the garden’s common
areas. Water is included.
